T-Break Saving Me Over $250

You read that right.

In the year of 2024, I spent a monthly average of $390 on cannabis and/or cannabis related products. And for the girlies who vowed never to have to do math again, that breaks down to an average of $13.25* a day on cannabis.

Lets think about it like this for a second: bored moms rolling around in lifted-up SUVs, that drink less expensive coffees than that on the daily. Oh and yes, thinking about it in from that perspective was definitely a contributing factor into my decision on taking some time away from canna-consumption. Sometimes it be like that when you like me.

I decided on a 21 day tolerance break because of a few different reasons (not all of them bizarrely motivated) but mainly because I had yet to take more than 1.5 weeks away from my gardening 🍃 hobby in quite some time, so why not challenge myself?

And fuck, has it ever been a challenge! But if I am being totally honest it has been a challenge in the most rewarding way. I have proven to myself that I can take an extended chunk of time away from a plant I rely on daily, or near daily, in my regular routine. The best part? I actually feel so good, heavy on the FEEL. Despite it being tough at times, I have been able to really stay present & sit with my emotions during this t-break. Along with soberly experiencing life, I have been able to focus in on my creative process for short-form video creation, allowing me to be able to work on fun and educational content for you guys.

All of this is amazing! And what feels even more magical about it all is knowing I am also saving money on what was previously huge expense in my life. I am not naive in thinking $390/month on cannabis is on the high-end of expenses, but I think it is worth celebrating that even to-date this puts me well over $250 saved so far during this February t-break.
